Problem
MySql start up failure after a vle microcode upgrade. an example of the MYSql follows.
vleadmin@engvle10-brm07:~$ /opt/SUNWvle/scripts/start_vle_services
Starting MySql, Tomcat and VLE services
Unknown master state: LRC

ON
Unable to start VLE due to a MySql startup failure



Also zpool status will not display the vsbpool  as shown with the following zpool status command.
vleadmin@engvle10-brm07:~$ zpool status

Cause

In the instructions the following steps must be completed before vle services is restarted .
1 cd /export/home/vleadmin/Downloads/vle1.0.43
2. ./upgrade_vle -jbod -n ( n= number of JBODS installed)

Solution

Follow the microcode upgrade instructions as documented
1 cd /export/home/vleadmin/Downloads/vle1.0.43
2. ./upgrade_vle -jbod -n ( n= number of JBODS installed)
