XCP XSCF PANEL EEPROM FMEM M3000 M4000 M5000 M8000 M9000-32 M9000-64 M9000

Symptoms

XCP version of Panel EEPROM and XSCF FMEM mismatched,

        Panel EEPROM=1061, XSCF FMEM=1092

Changes

After replacing a defective XSCF> a firmware mismatch can occur.

Console errors generated upon login:

XCP version of Panel EEPROM and XSCF FMEM mismatched,

        Panel EEPROM=1061, XSCF FMEM=1092

Cause

This problem was experienced when a defective XSCF> was replaced with one that had a different version of firmware.

Solution

1.  Use the flashupdate command to try to sync the panel EEPROM and the XSCF FMEM.

      XSCF> flashupdate -c sync

Confirm that the version is corrected.

      XSCF>  version -c xscf

If this does not correct the issue, continue to step 2.

2  Upgrade firmware.
Instructions for upgrading the firmware can be found in the XSCF Users Guide.
Links to current firmware can be found in Document 1002631.1

Be aware that updating from version below 1061 to a version higher than 1061
requires an interim update to 1061 first.

2.  To clear a degraded / faulted component contact your Oracle Service Provider.
