SymptomsProblems with Downgrading OKM 2.3, 2.3.1, or 2.4 version to 2.2.x version. If a KMA was previously upgraded from 2.2.x to 2.3.x or 2.4 then we allow customers to downgrade to 2.2.x. Issue is after a downgrade to 2.2.x and resetting KMA back to factory defaults can cause the KMA to fail to boot up. Once rebooted system will display error on console: /opt/SUNWkms2/bin/changeDatabasePasswords.sh: notifyDatabaseConfigChange: not found psql: FATAL: password authtication failed for user "postgres" The KMA will not boot any further. Hard drive replacement will be required. CauseThis issue is caused by the upgrade overwriting some files on the 2.2.x software.SolutionThis issue will be fixed in 2.4.1 OKM version. If downgrade from 2.3.x or 2.4.0 to 2.2.x is required for some reason, please contact Oracle OKM Support and open a case for assistance. Note: A KMA or Hard drive that was manufactured with OKM 2.3.x or 2.4.x can not be downgraded to 2.2.2. OKM Manager will prevent the downgrade. @Internal only-Reference CR 7060009 for details.
