Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL3000 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and laterSun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and later Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsPolicy Routes Disabled after reboot of 2.8x SL3000 or 6.0x SL8500 Codes. CauseFirmware issue. All levels of microcode from 2.81 for the SL3000 and from 4.7x for the SL8500 through all current codes levels (3.6x/7.70) have this problem. SolutionAfter every reboot or power cycle of a library with these code levels, the Policy Routes must be re-enabled from the CLI. When attempting to enable the policy routes for either Ports 2A or 2B, you will receive an error #3028 stating "Failed modifying policy rules". Note: RE Policy Route Behavior -In addition to disabling Policy routes during a reboot as previously advised, when an RE machine fails over, the policy routes will also be disabled. This requires enabling the policy routes after both a routine reboot or an RE switch occurs. This will be resolved in 8.x SL8500 code and 4.x SL3000 code.
