Symptoms

Robot Hung While Auditing Tapes With Device Response Timeouts.

Cause

Found site using dual barcode labels originally designed for HP library.
Dual Barcode labels are not supported.

Solution

The dual barcode LTO labels were intended for HP Galactica library's to handle LTO labeled tapes. These style of labels were originally designed to support DLT drives. HP discontinued support of these labels with LTO3 drives. HP only supports these labels on LTO1 and LTO2 cartridges.

The SL3000 released with LTO3/4 support and these style of labels have not been tested nor certified in the SL3000.

Refer to attached file for example of unsupported volser label.
