Applies to:

Exadata Database Machine V2 - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]
Oracle Exadata Storage Server Software - Version 11.2.1.2.0 to 11.2.2.2.0 [Release 11.2]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

After Powering down an Exadata cell or compute node alerts are raised of log entries created like:

SP shows failure. SP:fault.security.integrity-compromised

Changes

Changing hardware components (e.g. flash cards)

Cause

If the AC power is not removed from the chassis before replacing te components then the ILOM (which is not powered down by the front panel power switch) will detect the removal of the lid and flag an intrusion detection fault.

The disconnection of AC power to the chassis is a mandatory action in the Sun field engineering instructions.
It doesn't always happen

Solution

This message occurs when the chassis cover has been removed while AC is still attached to the chassis.

From the ilom:
The fault can be cleared with
-> start /SP/faultmgmt/shell

fmadm> fmadm repair /SYS/SP

Also you can use:
cellcli> list alerthistory
to check the whole status.
