Symptoms

 Issue presents Itself with the following symptoms:

  • Controller has gone to fault-disabled or ready-disabled.
  • Controller has been replaced.

At this point:

  1. Attach a serial connection to the faulted controller.
  2. Issue "enable uN" to place the controller online, and observe the serial connection.
  3. The POST will fail with the message:

    6120-2
    Starting POST
    ..Vcc differential mode test failed.
    ......
    POST end Press C to continue

After manual intervention the controller continues to boot.

Cause

This is an issue with the Power Cooling Unit (PCU).

Solution

Resolution requires replacement of BOTH PCU in the tray with the faulted controller.
