Symptoms

KMA 2.0 systems shipped prior to July 3, 2008 may have been built with old and incorrect version of BIOS and ELOM code.

So far, only one such system has been found in the field.

Resolution
Acceptable versions of ELOM code are 3.09 with BIOS version S40_3A16 and 3.13 ELOM code with BIOS version S40_3A19.

If installing the system results in an ELOM page that looks like this, stop the installation and request a replacement system.

Refer to the attachment for example of error that would be seen with downlevel firmware.
