Library not cleaning drives

Cause

Missing a cleaning cartridge in library.

Solution

Resolution
Decide whether cleaning is to be handled at the software or hardware level.
  • If software, take the cleaning cartridge out of the reserved slot and move it into a data slot.
  • If hardware, leave cleaning cartridge in reserved slot and turn off cleaning on the software. Contact Application Support for assistance as needed.


Additional Information
Software application is managing cleaning.
Cleaning cartridge is located in the reserved slot
Auto clean is enabled by putting a cleaning cartridge into the reserved slot. The software application cannot see the reserved slots.
