SymptomsDrive will not load properly Changes{CHANGE} CauseThe drive/tray assembly came from manufacturing in this condition. SolutionThe SL8500 was having many reties on a T10000 drive, found that the drive was in the wrong holes on tray assy. Screw should be in the STK/SDLT hole.
The attached photos show screw in WRONG location. Make sure the screw is in the back or left hole slot. Failure to place the screw in the correct location will case above described problem. (see photos) Photo 1: photo 2:
