Symptoms

  • Password not working during logon attempt
  • Failed logon

Cause

  • VTL Services not running
  • Using wrong version of VTL Console.

Solution

1. If the password is a known good password, and still not working, check to make sure VTL services are running.

From the VTL command line, or a SSH session enter:

  • #vtl status

If the vtl processes are not running, restart them:

  • #vtl start

Please refer to VTL User Guide for details on VTL commandline commands.

2. In the VTL Console GUI, go to help/about and make sure the version and build you are running matches what 'vtl status' gives as the version.
