Symptoms

False drive status being reported.
If a drive is taken to an inoperative state, the full or empty status from the drive is not correct.
Library status of drive is incorrect.

Resolution
This problem is in 1409 SL500 library code.

 

Use the "Cartridge Print" CLI command to determine if a cartridge is present in the drive or not. If a cartridge is present, it must be manually removed from the drive.
