On typing ~ IOSRAM mode is shown following ~= which should have toggled it. SolutionProcess for enabling dman interfaceAn /etc/ hostname.dman0 file is required for each domain. If the file is not configured, Solaris[TM] does not plumb the domain side I1 interface, thus it cannot switch to network. Create the hostname.dman0 file, and then plumb and bring up the interface. Example: # vi /etc/hostname.dman0 192.168.100.2 netmask + broadcast + private up Create a file for each domain. You can get the IP address from the /etc/opt/SUNWSMS/config/MAN.cf file. Additional Information How to enable the toggling of the console while the domain is in Single User mode with Solaris 10 In order to have the ~= work properly the following services should also be enabled: # svcadm enable svc:/system/filesystem/local:default # svcadm enable svc:/network/initial:default # svcadm enable svc:/platform/sun4u/sckmd:default If the services are not enabled the following error will result Sep 10 11:39:30 2008 v4u-15ka-sc1-gmp02 dxs[2092]-C(): [4953 69289009971095 NOTICE ConsoleCvcd.cc 270] Failed to switch domain console to network mode, due to KMD errors; sckmd may not be running on the domain.
