Troubleshooting DetailsSteps to FollowThe listed troubleshooting steps are ordered in the most appropriate sequence to isolate the issue and be certain about the related fix. Please do not skip a step. It's always recommended that you use the serial console to manage flashupdate, where possible. 1. Verify that the patch has been downloaded to a host that is able to communicate to the system controller.
2. Verify that the downloaded firmware patch on the host is not corrupt.
3. Verify this is not a known permissions issue related to being root user.
4. Verify this is not a known permissions issue related to ftp login.
5. While capturing "script" data, confirm that another attempt to upgrade the firmware with flashupdate has failed.
6. Verify scripted output is available and collaborate with next level of support.
