Basic Sun hardware FE skills DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: A system outage will need to be negotiated with the customer, within service contract hours. *FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS* PROBLEM OVERVIEW: T2000 Power Cord Kit replacement WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : Server has two power cords with dual power supply redundancy. The server can remain running if replacing only one power cord. If, not Customer should shut the operating system down gracefully (using "init 0"), and after the system has shut down run the following commands from the ALOM: 1. setlocator on 2. poweroff WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: Remove the power cable: 1. Verify the system has been shut down by the customer. 2. Replace power cable.OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE: Restart system and have the System administrator verify functionality of system.
