Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Access vshell commands within VSM. Obtaining technical information regarding the VSM subsystem.

Solution

1. Connect to the VSM subsystem with vshell
2. issue the showsrl command. to display the current srl.
3. issue the cd command to change to the current srl (cd d02.09.08.00 will change to the d02.09.08.00 srl)
4. issue the vshell command cd diag. This command changes to the diag directory.
5. issue the vshell command lmkdir c:\xxxxxxx This command makes a directory on your local pc.
6. issue the vshell command lcd c:\xxxxxx to change to the newly created directory.
7. Issue the vshell command lpwd to display the present working directory on  your pc.
8. Issue the vshell command get hic_stat.dia .
9. When the file completes it's transfer, the hic_stat.dia will be in the directory the user created in step 5.
