GoalTo configure unidirectional CHAP for Solaris iSCSI initiator.SolutionIn the case of unidirectional CHAP, initiator will provide the CHAP user name and secret to the target.On your Solaris iSCSI initiator host use the following steps to enable CHAP # iscsiadm modify initiator-node -a chap Note down the 'Initiator node name' using the following command for later use # iscsiadm list initiator-node Now login to your Sun Storage 7000, identify the above iSCSI initiator iqn in the list of iqn(s) under Configuration -> SAN -> Initiator -> iSCSI Initiatorand click the pencil icon to edit (Hint: move the mouse over the iqn in question to see the pencil icon) [ Note: If the initiator is not yet added and is not in the list, you may add it now, by using the icon '+' next to 'iSCSI Initiator' and provide the iqn which was noted above ]. Fill in the following CHAP details Use CHAP <- tick Now back on the Solaris iscsi initiator host, perform the discovery. # iscsiadm modify discovery -t enable Check to see if the mapped target(s) and lun(s) are enumerated. # iscsiadm list target -S Attachments This solution has no attachment |
