Goal

Additional information concerning SL3000 2.81 microcode release.

Solution

1. With 2.81 microcode, SILKs keys have been wiped out and need to be re-generated.

2. After a library reboot, the SDP Alias ends up getting changed. An unexpected reset on Port-1A alias will occur.
-Contact Level 2 Tape Hardware Support to acquire a script to change the SDP alias back to the correct alias.

3. 2.81 microcode does not support the 'config complexid set' command for alias re-configuration.

4. Local Support will need to engage T3 Support to assist in re-configuration of the SDP Port alias once a library reboot has taken place.

5. A third reboot will be required after port 1A has been reconfigured. Upgrading to 2.81 microcode will require 3 reboots.
