PreviouslyPublishedAs 229218 Description The 4.xx firmware introduces some additional columns to the "view and edit logical drive" table. This document defines these changes. Steps to Follow "view and edit logical drives" from the Main Menu: ____________________________________________________________________________ | LG |ID |LV |RAID |Size(MB) |Status 1|2|3|O|C|#LN|#SB|#FL|NAME | |---------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |---------------------------------------------------------------------------| LG - The logical group number ID - The unique identifier of each logical drive LV - The number of the logical volume, if the LG is a member of a logical volume RAID - The RAID type Size - The size of the logical drive, in megabytes (MB) Status (1, 2, 3) - Each provides a particular status for the logical drive. 1 - Good = The logical drive is in a good state Creating = The logical drive is being initialized DRV Failed = Disk in the logical drive has failed DRV Absent = Missing drive at power-on or missing after a controller reset Incomplete = Too many disks are absent to create a valid logical drive 2 - I = Currently initializing the logical drive A = Currently adding a drive to the logical drive E = Currently expanding a logical drive 3 - R = Rebuilding the logical drive. This is typically due to a disk faiure P = A parity regeneration is being performed on the logical drive. O - The optimized stripe depth for the logical drive. 2 = 4 Kbyte 3 = 8 Kbyte 4 = 16 Kbyte 5 = 32 Kbyte 6 = 64 Kbyte 7 = 128 Kbyte 8 = 256 Kbyte C - Displays the cache setting for the logical drive B = Write-back cache enabled T = Write-through cache enabled #LN - The number of drives that are online #SB - The number of drives that are stand-by drives #FL - The number of failed drives Name - Name for the logical drive Product Sun StorageTek 3310/3510/3511 Firmware 4.11 Upgrade Sun StorageTek 3310 SCSI Array Minnow, minnow, 3310, 3510, 3511, firmware, Firmware, 4, 4.xx, 4., view, edit, logical, drives Previously Published As 80986 Change History Date: 2005-04-11 User Name: 25440 Action: Approved Comment: Audience changed to contract per FvF http://kmo.central/howto/FvF.html Added "Sun StorEdge[TM] 3310/3510/3511 Firmware" to title (taken from the Product field) as a clue to what this document is about.
