Reserve/Release Status in Multi-Library PTP Configurations

SL8500 multi-library configurations connected together in one ACS via PTP's use a series of "Reserve and Release" commands to reserve and release necessary 
resources for inter-library moves. During maintenance activity if the library controller or other library components are rebooted a pending reserve may not 
get released.

Steps to Follow
Highly encourage all multiple library configurations to upgrade to 3.72 or above to decrease the necessity of rebooting all libraries in a multiple library complex if one library in the complex is rebooted.

Code change in 3.72 greatly reduces this exposure by reserving resources in smaller increments and it does not reserve the source and destination resources at the initiation of the move request.

In a multi-library complex if the front door must be opened without the use of the SSD or the HBC is reset:
