GoalSL8500-How to remove cartridge stuck in hand.SolutionSteps to FollowRemoving a Stuck Cartridge in the Hand: If you need to remove a cartridge from the hand assembly: 1. Take the robot offline in order to get the robot to park in the garage area.
2. Use the Service Safety Door (SSD) to gain access to either the left or right side garage area and move the Reach motor assembly (belt and pulley) to extend the gripper assembly. You may also be able to reach inside the housing and pull the tape out to access the gripper assembly. 3. Locate the release screw on the left side of the gripper by the hand assembly housing. 4. Turn the screw one-half turn clockwise to release the cartridge. Note: Counter-clockwise tightens the gripper. Caution: Cartridge tape damage. Hold on to the cartridge tape as you extend the gripper assembly to prevent it from falling. If you drop the tape, you may damage the cartridge. 5. Push the gripper back into the hand assembly housing. 6. Remove the tape from the library.
7. Have the customer perform a logical eject of the volume.
8. Re-enter the tape into the library through the CAP. SL8500, Robot, Sbot, Remove cartridge, Handbot, HBot, Hand, Stuck, Tape Previously Published As STKKB79451 Attachments This solution has no attachment |
