Steps to Follow
The Sun StorEdge Intelligent SCSI Raid Controller[TM] builds virtual drives just
like Sun's other raid products. The virtual disk drive created is called a "Logical
Storage Unit" or "LSU".
This jargon is synonymous with the Raid Manager "lun", or the Volume Manager
"volume". Just like Raid Manager, there is a finite number of LSU's allowed.
This is what is currently supported:
	18 Raid-0 LSU's or
	18 Raid-1 LSU's or
	12 Raid-5 LSU's or
	18 any combination
It's important to note that these limits are more a function of the number of
drives allowed as opposed to a limit on the card itself. The card can support
up to 3 (12 disk) multipacks. This allows a total of 36 drives. SRC/P allows
using a disk drive only once. With 36 drives, this yields:
18 (2 disk drive) stripes or
18 (2 disk drive) mirrors or
12 (3 disk drive) raid 5's.
This works great if the GUI is used to create the LSU's. However, the command
'dptutil' provides the -s option to allocate a portion of the drive. This
would obviously provide the space to make more LSU's, but one nasty limitation
with SRC/P is the drive can only be used once. For example, if 1GB is
allocated on an 18 gig drive for a raid5 device, the remaining 17GB is lost.
The remaining 17GB cannot be used to create another LSU. The -s option should
not be used.
