Description

This document explains in detail how to copy port mappings from one port to another in Storage Navigator.  It eliminates the need to have to map each LDEV individually if you want to map the same LDEVs to another port. This is very usefule when trying to trousbleshoot a signal error.  It will allow you to easily move the LDEVs to another port to see if the CHA port is the cause of the signal errors.

Steps to Follow
Procedure
  1. Open Storage Navigator - Make sure you are in Modify Mode

Refer to Figure 1.

  1. Select the Lun Management / Lun Security Tab from the navigation bar on the left.

    Refer to Figure 2.

  2. Select the Fibre Option in the LU path Field. This will expand and show all of the available FC paths.

Refer to Figure 3.

  1. Select Fibre Port you want to duplicate -> Highlight the Host Group -> Select all the Paths associated with that Host Group (Hold <shift> and scroll down)

Refer to Figure 4.

  1. Once all Paths are Highlighted then right click and select "Copy Paths"

  2. Select the Port we are going to move the LDEVs to. Highlight the Host Group -> Right Click on the Hostgroup and select "Paste Paths"

    Refer to Figure 5.

  3. Apply your changes.
