This process is for the Windows English Standard Edition Retail CD. Perform the following steps as the root user: 1.) Download the Sun Fire [TM] X2100 / X2100 M2 Software Tools and Drivers disk: 2.) Create a temporary directory to host the download:
3.) Copy the zip archive to the /files directory:
4.) Unzip the archive to reveal a CD/DVD disk image:
5.) Mount the CD/DVD disk image: Solaris:
Linux:
6.) Copy the 2003Reburn_1.0.zip file to the /files directory:
7.) Unzip and execute the reburn script whilst you have your Retail Windows 2003 Server CD inserted. Reburn will not work and is not supported with OEM media:
8.) Follow the instructions according to the script. This procedure will be different depending on whether or not your system has a CD/DVD burner or not. Once the reburn CD has been created, boot the system using the reburn CD since the BIOS will need to be modified to enable RAID. 1.) After POST, press <F2> on the black BIOS screen to enter the setup utility. Reboot the system with the reburn CD and install Windows 2003 Server following the setup process. Once Windows 2003 Server is installed, the RAID configuration will need to be setup. 1.) After POST, press <F10> on the black BIOS screen to enter the RAID configuration utility.
