PreviouslyPublishedAs 213025 Description This document describes how to wire the RJ45<->RJ45 serial cable that is needed to set up a console and/or LOM access between Sun servers that provide RJ45-style serial ports. Steps to Follow Many of the newer Sun servers are equipped with a RJ45 serial connector for console and/or LOM functionality. In order to establish a serial connection between two such hosts, an atypical cable(known as a rollover cable) is required. A suitable RJ45<->RJ45 rollover cable (Xylogics MicroAnnex Cable) is available for purchase, or as a FRU, under Sun part number 530-3139 from Sun Systems Handbook.
