Description
This document provides information on interactions between the Sun StorEdge
6910(SE6910) or the Sun StorEdge 6960(SE6960) vicom router and SCSI-3 PGR
commands.

Steps to Follow
The vicom router used within the SE6910 or SE6960 storage arrays does not
support SCSI-3 PGR (persistent group reservation) commands. Only
non-persistent SCSI-2 reserve/release reservation types are
supported.
If the SE6910 or the SE6960 array is introduced into a configuration where
SCSI-3 PGR is in use, there may be false indications that there are
existing SCSI-3 PGRs in place on the array. Attempts to read PGR keys from
the vicom will produce invalid results that make it appear that there is a
valid key in place. In this situation, the array should be removed from the
configuration and, if necessary, to make certain the state of the vicoms
SCSI-2 reservation status, each vicom should be power-cycled to ensure an
initial status for use again. This action should take place in an I/O
quiescent state.
