Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 1008205.1 : Sun StorageTek[TM] 5000 Series NAS: How to verify LUN Status on NAS
PreviouslyPublishedAs 211265 Description Description Symptoms:
Purpose/scope: This document outlines the procedures that may be used to verify the online status of LUNs in Sun StorEdge[TM] 5210 NAS Appliance (SE5210), Sun StorEdge[TM] 5310 NAS Appliance (SE5310) and Sun StorageTek[TM] 5320 NAS appliance (SE5320). Steps to Follow Verifying LUN Status on NAS 1.The LUN status can be checked using the Web Admin GUI: RAID -> Manage RAID - Check 'Status' is 'Online' for all LUN/Drive(s) 2. For the SE5310 and SE5320 running NAS OS 4.20 or higher, the 'lsi_menu' CLI module can be used to collect directly-attached (CSM1 or CSM2) Disk Array status information. For Gateway-attached arrays, use the associated management interface/GUI to determine the state of the 'gateway' LUN/disks. Connect to the NAS: $ telnet <IP-ADDRESS of NAS> Trying 123.456.123.456... Connected to 123.456.123.456. Escape character is '^]'. connect to (? for list) ?
