Goal

There had been a number of occasions when customers are asking why and what they need to do when the C2's Right LED on the Front Panel is flashing amber while LCD Screen is displaying "Cleaning Successful".

Solution

Steps to Follow
In the situation described, there is really no hardware problem.

Although the LCD Screen on the Front Panel is displaying "Cleaning Successful", in reality there was as earlier status of "Drive Requires Cleaning"; Error Code 3C. It was the "Drive Requires Cleaning" status that resulted in the Right LED flashing amber. Due to auto-cleaning either setup on the C2 or via an automated backup software, the drive eventually got cleaned. However, the Right LED continues to be flashing amber. Hence, when the Right LED is flashing amber and the LCD Screen displayed "Cleaning Successful", the action to take is simply to press the "Escape" button on the Front Panel. This action will stop the Right LED flashing amber.
