Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 1007833.1 : How to clear selective settings of the Sun Fire[TM] system controller
PreviouslyPublishedAs 210825 Description This document describes a way to selectively clear settings of the Sun Fire[TM] system controller and specifies which settings may be cleared in this way. This method allows clearing of erroneous settings for some parameters without clearing the whole configuration. Steps to Follow There are many situations when a system administrator or support engineer needs to clear a parameter setting on the system controller. The most straightforward way to do this it to use setdefaults command but this command will clear the entire configuration of the system controller and it is not always convenient. There is a way to clear selective settings without clearing the whole configuration. In order to clear particular parameter of the system controller type a dash (-) as a response for a relevant question of setupplatform or setupdomain command. kremlin-sc0:SC> showplatform -p network The system controller is configured to be on a network.
