PreviouslyPublishedAs 208755 Description For some Linux distributions, the Sun Fire[TM] V60x and V65x Servers come with a SCSI driver disk. This article explains when this driver is and when it is not necessary. Steps to Follow Early versions of Red Hat AS/ES/WS require updated device drivers, which were not included in the Red Hat distribution. For versions earlier than Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1 Update 1, you will need to use the SCSI driver distributed with the Sun Fire Server. Beginning with Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1 Update 1 you no longer need the SCSI driver disk. You can install the server without an additional driver.
