If all the information above is provided, continue to Step B. B. Basic Usage Using Browser or SSCS interfaces We consider basic pool creation as creating a storage pool with NO CAPACITY. By following the instructions below, you will have created a pool without any VDisks, and will have to add capacity to it later. SSCS Pool Creation usage for sscs, can be reviewed in the SSCS Quick Reference Guide. The sscs usage for basic pool creation is as follows. create -p|--profile <string> [-S|--sdomain <string>] [-d|--description <string>] pool <string> An example: ./sscs create -p raid5-profile pool cli-pool This will create a pool named cli-pool using the parameters from the raid5-profile profile, which resides in the Storage Domain DEFAULT. NOTE1: The Storage Domain is assumed to be DEFAULT when it is not specified by the -S switch in the usage. BUI
