It is intended to provide an overview of the statistics collected. SolutionSteps to Follow Please review the steps below to manage the performance collection. Turning On Performance CollectionWhen turning on performance collection, there are three items to set: Polling Interval: Set for 1, 5, or 15 minutes. At this interval, the array will be contacted for new array data for all fields, and the management software will be updated with Data Retention Period: Set for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 1 day, or forever. This setting dictates how long the Peak data will be listed in the output collected. This only affects the collection of peak data until collection is turned off. Baseline Time: (only for 2510 iSCSI based storage arrays with 7.35 firmware or later) Changing State via sscs CLI
sscs modify -a array --status on|off --poll 1|5|15 --retention forever|1HR|2R|4HR|1DAY performance example: sscs modify -a array --status on --poll 1 --retention 1HR You can list these settings with :sscs list -a array -T performance Changing State via sscs CLI for iSCSI Performance (2510 with 7.35 firmware or later)
sscs modify -a array --status on|off --poll 1|5|15 --retention forever|1HR|2R|4HR|1DAY --baseline true|false iperformance
Array: array State: On Polling Interval: 5 minutes Data Retention Period: Forever

Array Statistics CollectionCollecting via Browser: 1) Expand Storage Systems Collecting via sscs CLI sscs list -a array --type array_stats performance Collecting via sscs CLI for 2510sscs list -a array --type array_stats --baseline true|false iperformance Controller Statistics CollectionCollecting via Browser:1) Expand Storage Systems2) Expand Your Array Name 3) Expand Physical Devices 4) Click Controllers 5) Click View Performance Statistics button
sscs CLI sscs list -a array --type controller_stats performance Collecting via sscs CLI for 2510: sscs list -a array --type controller_stats --baseline true|false iperformance Volume Statistics CollectionCollecting via browser 1) Expand Storage Systems Collecting via sscs CLI: sscs list -a array --type volume_stats -g hostgrp -h host -v volume performance Collecting via sscs CLI for 2510: sscs list -a array --type volume_stats -g hostgrp -h host -v volume --baseline true|false iperformance
Available StatisticsThe statistics available are the same for any collection. They are defined as
Additional Statistics for 2510 ArraysThe following table describes the fields on the iSCSI Ethernet-MAC Performance Statistics page.

There is no user interface for real time collection of data. The statistics are calculated based on the delta between the points of the polling interval. flx380, 2510, 2540, 2530, 2500, 6000, 6180, 6580, 6780, flx240, flx280, 6130, 6140, 6540, performance, sscs, CAM Date: 2010-04-23 User: DeCotis Comment: Changed Title.
