Description
When installing Solaris[TM] 10 Operating System (OS) X64 on a Sun Fire[TM] V40z with Disks connected to Mega raid card (P/N 370-6907/370-7748) the OS will not recognize the raid.

Steps to Follow
Resolution:

Boot the system with Solaris 10 DVD when installation prompts for list of actions.
Note: Driver can be downloaded from

http://www.sun.com/download/products.xml?id=431fd1be

1) Solaris[TM] Intractive (default)
2) custome jumpstart
3) Solaris Intractive Text (Desktop Session)
4) Solaris Intractive Text (Console Session)
5) Apply Driver Update
6) Single user Shell

press 5 to add the driver

Insert Media And enter media Type :

Floppy [f] , CD/DVD [c], or End [e]

To install the driver with floppy type f and enter

once the driver is installed type e to end

The OS will start booting further and recognize the disk, do the required Partition and start the installation.

System will stop at 99%.
To avoid this open a Terminal window and Type (#dtterm -C)

Install the OS in CLI mode.

At 99% Installation will ask for additional driver to install in the console window type yes
insert the floppy into the drive This will install 64Bit driver For LSIMega raid Card Fallowing which installation will complete successfully.
