SymptomsV2X took an FSCAE00 warm boot and fenced a channel card during the restart.CauseFunctional card detected a defective channel card.Recovery strategy is to take a warm boot to isolate the channel card. Solution1. Connect to the SVA and acquire a set of base files.2. Place files on zenobia 3. Run script: Crunch_it all <enter> 4. Review hic.dmp file and confirm SVA took a FSC AE00 statesave Example of hic.dmp: IUP Statesave Summary: ---------------------- SS#1 was FSC 0xae00 (pc = 0x001e957c) on IUP 3 5. Review hic_stat.dia looking for a fencing action during the restart process. Example: 11/05/21 16:31:27 PSA 0x79ee INIT FENCE 0101 983 11/05/21 16:31:29 GFR : Isolate FRU 983 at CU.1.LK01L stat: x0000 6. Use the following charts to determine which channel card and interface is associated with this error. Convert the IUP which took the statesave to the interface: IUP 0 = IFC00U IUP 1 = IFC01U IUP 2 = IFC00L IUP 3 = IFC01L IUP 4 = IFC10U IUP 5 = IFC11U IUP 6 = IFC10L IUP 7 = IFC11L V2XF channel addressing information: AS LISTED IN HIC STAT Link 0 Cluster 0: (IFC: 0, Link: 0) - LK00U Link 1 Cluster 0: (IFC: 0, Link: 1) - LK00L Link 2 Cluster 0: (IFC: 1, Link: 0) - LK01U Link 3 Cluster 0: (IFC: 1, Link: 1) - LK01L Link 4 Cluster 0: (IFC: 2, Link: 0) - LK02U Link 5 Cluster 0: (IFC: 2, Link: 1) - LK02L Link 6 Cluster 0: (IFC: 3, Link: 0) - LK03U Link 7 Cluster 0: (IFC: 3, Link: 1) - LK03L Link 0 Cluster 1: (IFC: 4, Link: 0) - LK10U Link 1 Cluster 1: (IFC: 4, Link: 1) - LK10L Link 2 Cluster 1: (IFC: 5, Link: 0) - LK11U Link 3 Cluster 1: (IFC: 5, Link: 1) - LK11L Link 4 Cluster 1: (IFC: 6, Link: 0) - LK12U Link 5 Cluster 1: (IFC: 6, Link: 1) - LK12L Link 6 Cluster 1: (IFC: 7, Link: 0) - LK13U Link 7 Cluster 1: (IFC: 7, Link: 1) - LK13L 7. Review the CRNT_FRU.LST file to identify the part number of the defective channel card. 8. Review the status of the SVA to ensure it restarted correctly after the warm boot (only the one channel card is fenced) 9. Create Field Task to replace the defective channel card. 10. Inform the customer of the error condition and the repair plan you have developed. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
