Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1172544.1 : ACSLS - EJECT Fails with LH_ERR_ADDR_INACCESSIBLE Error
In this Document
Applies to:Sun Storage Auto Cartridge Sys Lib SW (ACSLS) - Version: All VersionsSun Storage SL3000 Modular Library System - Version: Not Applicable and later [Release: NA and later] Information in this document applies to any platform. Symptoms1. Eject operation fails with these error messages in the acsss_event.log:2010-08-05 12:28:48 EJECT[31]: 546 N cl_log_lh_er.c 1 99 cl_sm_response: LH error type = LH_ERR_ADDR_INACCESSIBLE 2010-08-05 12:28:48 ACSSA[31]: 1422 N sa_demux.c 1 296 Library configuration error. 2010-08-05 12:28:50 ACSLM[0]: 41 N lm_wait_proc.c 1 460 lm_wait_proc: Unexpected exit status STATUS_CONFIGURATION_ERROR from command EJECT detected 2. The following shows the cmd_proc Eject error message: ACSSA> eject CAP identifier(acs, lsm, cap): 0,0,1 Volume identifier(volume label/volume range): V72058 Volume identifier(volume label/volume range): Eject: Eject complete, 0 cartridges ejected. Eject: Eject failed, Library configuration error. Eject: Eject complete, 0 cartridges ejected. 3. Enter operations would also hang during the CAP audit (or catalog) function. ChangesInstalled new SL3000 HBCR card and code.CauseThe active cell information in the old HBCR card did not get transferred when the new HBCR and code were installed. As a result, the tape being ejected was giving an invalid source address because its source address was not a known active cell.SolutionThe following workaround is to be implemented by the field engineer:1. From the SLConsole, delete one cell. This will trigger an audit of the active cells 2. Then, add the one cell that was previously deleted. 3. Test the new configuration by running Enter and Eject operations from ACSLS. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
