Symptoms

Networker jbconfig script used to reconfigure the newly partitioned library was failing because SL3000 library returns the same unique WWName attached to the four partitions.
An account in France came across a configuration issue with Networker software version 7.4.2  installed on four SUN solaris servers Storage Nodes.  The SL3000 was successfuly configured under Networker and been running for weeks at this account as a non partitioned library.  Today, local engineer has enabled partitioning on the library and configured four FC-SCSI partitions.  It was identified that Networker jbconfig script used to reconfigure the newly partitioned library was failing because our library returns the same unique WWName attached to the four partitions. According to customer, jbconfig script works on ADIC library because each partition has a uniqueWWN configured and presented to Networker.  It is a SUN/STK DWWN like.

Solution

Resolution
Customer opened a case to EMC and was directed to use the following workaround to configure our partitioned SL3000. They successfuly go through the workaround and the library with four partitions is now up and running.
1- As per Solution esg71655:
https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg71655

Symptom: Running jbconfig to configure Jukebox attached to NetWorker Storage Node
Cause: SCSI address for both jukeboxes (attached to NetWorker Server and Storage Node) are the same.
Fix: Run jbconfig with option 4 (SJI jukebox) will workaround the issue

2- As per Solution esg67697:
https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg67697

Symptom: Running jbconfig -s from the storage node and choosing option 2 results in the above error.
Fix: Clear out NetWorker's cache following the procedure below:
1) Shutdown NetWorker daemons.
2) Navigate to and delete /nsr/tmp.
3) Restart NetWorker daemons.
4) Once the above is completed, reattempt the jbconfig operation using option 4 (SJI jukebox)..
