PreviouslyPublishedAs 230462 Symptoms A new Sun Cluster[TM] 3.x installation used a JBOD unit (in this case, a Sun StorEdge[TM] D2 array in a split mode) for its shared storage. After the installation and testing of the cluster, some problems with the shared array were discovered. The problem occurred when a node was booted into cluster, causing many SCSI warnings and a volume managment problem on the other node. In this case, the metadevices needed maintenance. The errors did not occur if the node was booted outside of the cluster.
