Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1018007.1 : Sun Enterprise[TM] 10000: "/sbin/cvcd-(HOSTNAME:'domain'): lost data output" error
PreviouslyPublishedAs 229292 Symptoms "cvcd" logs error messages. After starting a netcon session to a domain, an error may occur: /sbin/cvcd-(HOSTNAME:'domain'): lost data output If Patch-ID# 106311-01 is installed, the error message changes to: /sbin/cvcd-(HOSTNAME:`domain`): TLI socket write error Resource temporarily unavailable If the netcon session is restarted the error generally will not appear right away, but may recur in days or weeks. This error could be appear in any version of SSP, though the exact message differs based on the patch level Resolution Start netcon logging. When a Sun Enterprise[TM] 10000 domain is running, the cvcd daemon is used to communicate with netcon. If the netcon is not running, the cvcd daemon buffers the console output until the next netcon is started. If netcon has not been run for a while, the console output may be too much to hold in cvcd's buffer. When this happens, the above error is produced. This error has no impact on running the domain. To avoid the error and keep a useful log of what is sent to the console, enable netcon logging on the SSP. For information on how to do this, please refer to < Document: 1018006.1 >.
