Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL500 Modular Library System - Version: Not Applicable and later [Release: N/A and later]All Platforms Checked for relevance on 15-Apr-2011. SymptomsUnable to lower X table.Stuck in place. Robot can not move. X table does not lower after a power on. Changes{CHANGE}Cause{CAUSE}SolutionResolutionIf, when you power-on the library, the X table does not lower after a few minutes, the main pulley gear might be too tight to allow the solenoid to release the pawl. Refer to below for instructions on how to lower the X-table, (Robot), when it appears to be stuck or binding. Additional Information This procedure should be done only by a trained service person. Not intended for general customer function. The version 3 robot can be used in both older and new EZ Install modules. The latch in the old style robot is further forward on the fly wheel. Fix: To fix this problem, with power applied, reach into the back right-hand corner of the robotics unit and move the lever toward the gear.
