PreviouslyPublishedAs 217805 Symptoms The Cable Management Assembly (CMA) that is shipped with the Sun Fire[TM] V440 Server, PN 370-4427-06 can interfere with PCI card located in PCI slot0 that contains external interfacing. PCI cards with connectors on the lower part of the PCI faceplate are prone to interference with CMA. PCI cards such as NICs, SCSI HBA, FCAL HBA, Graphics, etc. with the interface connector(s) located on the lower section of the PCI faceplate, when the cable(s) is attached, can come into contact with the CMA housing when the CMA arm is retracted. PCI cards with higher connector location(s) on the faceplate are least affected. Resolution This is a design limitation on the CMA PN:370-4427-06. Please use other compatible rail kits or get this PN:370-4427-05 instead. The -05 release of the CMA is not affected. Product Sun Fire V440R Server Internal Comments For internal Sun use only.
