Symptoms

Users cannot select any time zones except 'USA Mountain' on Operator Control Panel (OCP) screen, Sun StorageTek[TM] C4 Tape Library.

From the Setup screen, use the up and down arrows to highlight "Date and Time" and press Enter. The "Date and Time" screen displays. Then, edit the date and time information but the user cannot change the time zone from 'USA mountain' if the user wants to select others time zones.

Resolution
- V5 cannot set UTC +9 which is Japan timezone.
- Multiple timezones are missing from V5 and have been corrected in V11.
- Official Sun V11 is scheduled for release either May 23 or June 6th, 2006.

Upgrade firmware of Oracle/StorageTek C4 Tape Library to V11-0 or later.

Relief/Workaround
Ignore the difference of time zone between USA Mountain and your local time. The built-in time zone, standard (UTC-7 hours) and DST (UTC-6 hours) does not affect actual work or functions of the Oracle/StorageTek C4 Tape Library.

Quantum has released V11-0 firmware to fix the limited function for time zone:
