Symptoms
While attempting to gather the persistent events output, the
command fails with the following:

Undefined error code: -1

Resolution

This occurs when you are attempting to run the command
through 'sccli' inband.
You will need to run the command out-of-band (ie, via
the network interface of the array) to gather
the persistent events log.
for example, the incorrect way to run command is:
# sccli
sccli: selected device /dev/rdsk/c11t40d0s2 [SUN StorEdge 3510 SN#004059]
sccli> show persistent-events
sccli: show persistent event: error: Undefined error code: -1
sccli>
this is the correct way:
# sccli 10.8.17.123
sccli: selected se3000://10.8.17.123:58632 [SUN StorEdge 3510 SN#004059]
sccli> show persistent-events
