Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1011649.1 : RAID Manager Software: LUNs and Drives Don't Appear After the Creation Process Is Terminated
PreviouslyPublishedAs 215971 Symptoms The user was creating some logical unit numbers (LUNs). The process took some time, so the user terminated the LUN creation process prematurely by rebooting the system. Upon reboot, the user complained that the LUNs did not appear, and the drives were not returned to the unassigned pool. The user wants to recover the disks and recreate the LUNs. Resolution During the LUN creation, the Raid Manager software creates a lock file: If the Raid Manager GUI was up during the file deletion, the user needs to close and restart the GUI. The configuration window shows the state of the LUN that was being created at the time of the process termination as incomplete. The next step is to delete the incomplete state configuration to release the drives back to the unassigned pool.
