Symptoms
The following error is reported on a Sun Fire[TM]V880 server when the system is booted into Solaris[TM]: fru:Device busy. This error message can be seen on the console during normal operation, or during boot up.

Sample error:

Apr 22 15:57:25 wgs34-126 genunix: duplicate device node

/pci@9,700000/ebus@1/i2c@1,2e/fru

fru: No such device or address

fru: Device busy

***These messages randomly seem to stop and then start again.

Resolution
Patches necessary for the Solaris versions:
