PreviouslyPublishedAs 213309 Symptoms In Sun StorageTek[TM] Common Array Manager (CAM) 5.0 GUI on Solaris[TM], clicking either the "Register..." or "Upgrade Firmware..." button on the "Storage System Summary" page results in an "Application Error" : Application Error com.iplanet.jato.command.CommandException:Error executing GotoViewBeanCommand Root cause=[com.iplanet.jato.NavigationException: Exception encountered during forward Root cause=[javax.servlet.jsp.JspException:Illegal to flush within a custom tag] Resolution This problem can been seen when an incompatible version of Apache Tomcat is installed. CAM 5.0 on Solaris requires Tomcat 4.0.5 The version of Tomcat being used by CAM is reported in the logfile : /var/log/webconsole/console_debug_log e.g. : . . Starting service Sun Java Web Console Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 . . In this case, an incompatible older version of Tomcat is being used (4.0.1) A way to ensure that the correct version of Tomcat is installed on the management host is to do the following :
