PreviouslyPublishedAs 211884 Symptoms System is getting SCSI Transport errors and disks timeout failures on A5200 disks when using Veritas. Running Stortools may not isolate failures or provide additional information. A luxadm probe will return no information on drives. A Drive format may also hang and not complete. . Resolution SCSI Transport errors and disks timeout failures on Sun StorEdge[TM] A5000 and T3, Sun Blade[TM] 1000 or Sun Enterprise[TM] 3500 This problem is resolved by applying drive firmware patch 109962-04 on the A5200 Storage Device. The issue in this case was specific to the Seagate ST336704FC and Seagate ST318304FC devices only. This firmware patch also resolves several other disk related issues for the A5200. These disks are also supported in the SunBlade 1000, T3, and E3500. This problem may occur with these products as well, the fix is the same.
