Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1007552.1 : Sun Fire[TM] 3800-6800: Upgrade to firmware 5.13.x causes loss of network settings on the SC
PreviouslyPublishedAs 210451 Symptoms In updating Sun Fire[TM] System Controllers to firmware revision 5.13.x, a number of reports have been received that after updating ScApp and RTOS, the SC reboots but the network settings on the SC are lost. Resolution The issue has been root-caused and only affects System Controllers which currently run 5.11.x firmware or have been upgraded to 5.12.x from 5.11.x. A fix is in progress to resolve the issue. System Controllers which shipped from the factory with 5.12.x and higher are NOT affected. While upgrading a System Controller: 1. Issue the flashupdate commands via the Serial Port and not an SC telnet session. 2. Copy down pertinent parameters before upgrading. This information includes output from:
