SymptomsSymptomsCartridge is stuck in Seagate Ultrium tape drive. Unable to remove cartridge by pressing unload switch or with a power off/on of drive. Changes{CHANGE}Cause{CAUSE}SolutionResolution Should you have difficulty removing a stuck cartridge from the Linear Tape Open (LTO) Seagate Ultrium drive, press the unload switch on the front panel for 15 seconds. This forces a reset of the drive without powering off. The drive may then eject the cartridge. This action will reset memory, as would a power off/on sequence. It may take up to 30 minutes for the tape to rewind, as the drive does not know how much media is on the machine reel and a slow rewind will occur. stuck tape, LTO drive, L180 Previously Published As 70851 Attachments This solution has no attachment |
