Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1007439.1 : 16 LUN support for Clariion Array on PCI based system
PreviouslyPublishedAs 210274 Symptoms The default number of LUNs configured for the Data General Clariion Hardware RAID Array is 7. The array has LUNs of 16 and 17 but they do not show up on a PCI system such as the Sun Enterprise[TM] 450 using the format command after a boot -r. The /kernel/drv/sd.conf file is the same on all systems. Other systems such as the Sun Enterprise[TM] 4500 and E6000 show these additional LUNs after boot -r. Resolution To see Clariion Array LUNs higher than 7 on a PCI bus based machine, do the following: 1. Apply patch 105580-13 (minimum). 2. Make the following entries in the /kernel/drv/glm.conf file: device-type-scsi-options-list = "DGC RAID 1 ", "dgc-scsi-options", "DGC RAID 5 ", "dgc-scsi-options", "DGC RAID 10 ", "dgc-scsi-options", "DGC RAID 0 ", "dgc-scsi-options", "DGC RAID 3 ", "dgc-scsi-options", "DGC DISK ", "dgc-scsi-options"; dgc-scsi-options = 0x107f8; Product Sun Enterprise 6000 Server Sun Enterprise 4500 Server Sun Enterprise 450 Server Previously Published As 20966 Change History Date: 2003-05-20 User Name: Administrator Action: Migration from KMSCreator Comment: updated by : Gary Northup comment : Edited format & text - issued date : Nov 8, 1999 Version: 0 Product_uuid 29c97732-0a18-11d6-94b5-cc8626b57cd7|Sun Enterprise 6000 Server 29bdb91a-0a18-11d6-9d2c-c8c4d893e741|Sun Enterprise 4500 Server 29656238-0a18-11d6-91d9-a4e449afd809|Sun Enterprise 450 Server Attachments This solution has no attachment |
