Allegro drives are Fujitsu drives and all qualified Fujitsu drives for the 3310 are either Allegro-8 or Allegro-9 type drives. Bug 2124572 is the same as the above bug but is specifically for the LSI 1030 host bus adapter as noticed in the messages below: May 10 13:55:10 hwhlr-ph2 scsi: [ID 365881 kern.info] /pci@1e,600000/scsi@2,1 (mpt1): May 10 13:55:10 hwhlr-ph2 Rev. 8 '''LSI, Inc. 1030''' found. Refer to <Document: 1012309.1> SCSI bus reset & transport errors on Sun StorEdge[TM] 3310 SCSI array with Ultra320 SCSI HBA The above document helps to resolve any issues with the speed negotiation. If inspite of resolving any issues with the speed negotiation, the problem persists, then most probably you are hitting bug 6195171. The following patches are available: Currently there is no x86 patch for SunOS 5.8 If the above still doesn't help, the following could contribute to this problem: a) Disk firmware.
